Senior Application Engineer (Mining)

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Application Engineer to support 3M’s innovative solutions for the coal mining sector in Shanghai. The role combines scientific expertise with practical engineering to develop safe, high‑performance products.

Key responsibilities

• Design and adapt 3M products for coal mining applications, ensuring compliance with safety and performance standards.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to translate customer requirements into technical specifications.
• Lead project planning, execution, and documentation, monitoring timelines and deliverables.
• Identify and assess potential hazards, contributing to the company’s EHS culture.
• Provide technical support and training to internal stakeholders and external partners.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in safety engineering, materials science, or a related engineering discipline.
• Relevant experience in the coal mining industry is preferred.
• Strong command of English, both written and spoken.
• Demonstrated ability to manage projects and work in multidisciplinary teams.
