Director, Non-Technical Project/Program Management

About the role

Applied Materials, the global leader in materials science and engineering solutions, is seeking a Director of Non‑Technical Project/Program Management in Shanghai. The role provides leadership through managers, is accountable for regional performance, and executes segment and functional business plans to drive innovation in semiconductor and display technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Define project and program objectives, milestones, viability studies and resource planning to ensure effective execution.
• Ensure all projects are completed on time, within budget and meet product/process specifications.
• Document all phases of project and program development and ensure compliance with company policies on notebooks, patents, confidentiality and safety.

Required profile

• Demonstrated ability to lead and direct managers, accountable for performance of a region or job families.
• Experience executing segment/functional business plans and contributing to strategy development.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills to resolve complex business issues.
