Senior Account Manager

About the role

The Senior Account Manager (Key Account Sales) for the China team will drive sales of GfK’s Electronics and Technology Consumer Goods solutions, with a focus on point‑of‑sale data, while maintaining strong relationships with key client accounts to ensure satisfaction and revenue growth.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve the country’s sales target and manage accounts with new and existing clients.
• Strategize the business selling approach with focus on the Electronics and Technology Consumer Goods industry.
• Identify and develop growth opportunities using GfK tracking data based on client needs.
• Analyze and present data and findings to create selling opportunities for existing and potential clients.
• Establish and maintain excellent relationships with key decision makers and C‑suite level contacts.
• Identify potential problems and propose proactive solutions to meet client needs.

Required profile

• Ability to quickly grasp markets, methodologies and techniques, preferably with a research background.
• Good knowledge of the Electronics and Technology Consumer Goods market.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask.
• Positive, motivational “get things done” attitude, especially under difficult circumstances.
• Excellent sales and negotiation skills with a hunger to develop new business.
• Strong interpersonal and cross‑cultural relationship‑building abilities.
• Problem‑solving skills and effective verbal and presentation abilities.
• Proficiency in English and Chinese.
