About the role

IQVIA, a global provider of advanced analytics, technology solutions and clinical research services for the life sciences industry, is looking for a Recruiter 1 in Shanghai. The role supports the continuous improvement of the staffing function by developing and implementing staffing programs for an assigned business unit or department, mainly in one geography, and may also support a geographically distributed management team.

Key responsibilities

• Work with management in assigned areas to source, select and hire candidates using cost-effective techniques and in line with company policies.
• Manage applicant flow, ensure availability of qualified candidates and comply with diversity hiring goals.
• Write job postings, review applications, conduct interviews and coordinate job advertising across media, including job fairs and contacts with colleges and universities.
• Work with external recruiters, employment agencies and temporary agencies, and use online recruiting sources.
• Coach and counsel business leaders and line management on staffing goals, and train them on recruiting and interviewing.
• Meet with business leaders and executives to set staffing objectives, and help manage recruitment-related legislation and compliance projects.
• Keep up with market trends, coordinate with the compensation team on salary offers, and support a diverse workforce in line with local hiring guidelines.
• May meet financial targets and help with business development depending on the business line.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 3 years of experience in a staffing function as a recruiter, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Extensive knowledge of recruitment legislation.
• Strong attention to detail, discretion and confidentiality, and good customer service skills.
