About the role
HITACHI ENERGY (CHINA) LTD. is looking for an R&D intern in Beijing, China, working on materials, power electronics, power systems and data science. The internship is full-time, onsite and lasts at least 3 months, with a minimum of 3 days per week in the company.
Key responsibilities
- Perform R&D work on material technology, including insulation materials, smart materials and additive manufacturing.
- Carry out R&D in the power system or power electronics field.
- Conduct data science research, including data cleaning, feature extraction, algorithm development and validation.
- Ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures and guidelines.
- Live Hitachi Energy's core values of safety and integrity.
Required profile
- Master's degree or above in Polymer Science, Power Systems, Power Electronics or Data Science, with strong hands-on laboratory experience.
- Experience in literature surveys and patent investigations.
- Technical background in mechanical engineering is a plus.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English is required.
