Process Support Engineer – Display CVD (Chengdu/Wuhan)

About the role

Applied Materials seeks a Process Support Engineer to provide on‑site expertise for Display CVD equipment across its China locations. You will collaborate with customers to develop and optimise advanced semiconductor and display manufacturing processes.

Key responsibilities

• Provide high‑visibility customer support through on‑site installations, system diagnostics, and service/repair of complex CVD equipment.
• Work closely with customers to develop advanced processes for manufacturing cutting‑edge semiconductor and display chips.
• Design and execute hypothesis experiments using Design of Experiments (DOE), analyse data statistically, and compile detailed reports.
• Troubleshoot complex process issues, perform root‑cause analysis, and resolve challenging engineering problems.
• Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and customers to build relationships and achieve project goals.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, physics, materials engineering, optoelectronics or a related field.
• 4–7 years of experience in the display fab or equipment industry.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to convey technical information clearly.
• Proficiency in English.
