Plant Accountant

About the role

Franke is seeking a Plant Accountant to manage product costing and inventory accounting within its Foodservice Systems division. The role supports accurate cost bookings, variance analysis, and financial reporting in a dynamic international environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage product costing and inventory accounting, ensuring accurate cost bookings for raw materials and finished goods.
• Analyze manufacturing costs and variances, including standard cost updates, purchase price variance, usage, and exchange‑rate impacts.
• Support inventory accuracy through cycle counts, stock takes, reconciliation, and provision analysis.
• Lead month‑end closing activities such as journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and manufacturing reporting.
• Provide operational financial insights for budgeting, forecasting, KPI tracking, and business decision‑making.
• Drive compliance, process optimisation, and automation initiatives to strengthen internal controls.
• Develop regional finance expertise to support Asia reporting requirements and broader finance operations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or a related field.
• Experience in cost accounting, inventory accounting, or manufacturing finance within a manufacturing environment.
• Solid understanding of standard costing, inventory valuation and manufacturing variances.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with high attention to detail.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel.
• Effective communication with cross‑functional stakeholders.
• Proactive, hands‑on attitude with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Experience with SAP and multinational manufacturing companies is a plus.
