Performance Software Architect

About the role

The Performance Software Architect will lead a small outsourcing engineering team to deliver high‑performance cockpit infotainment systems. You will define performance benchmarks, identify bottlenecks across the software stack, and drive optimization initiatives from application layer to low‑level system services.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a 3‑5 member outsourcing team, handling requirement gathering, solution design, task allocation, and delivery tracking.
• Define performance metrics and goals for infotainment systems and ensure they are met throughout product development.
• Conduct system‑level profiling using tools such as perf, eBPF/BCC, Ftrace, Intel VTune, and Graphics Performance Analyzers.
• Create performance models to predict the impact of new features, hardware changes, or architectural decisions.
• Collaborate with BSP teams to optimize device drivers, HAL, and board support package components.
• Design and implement kernel‑level optimizations for CPU frequency scaling, scheduling, memory management, and I/O scheduling.
• Document performance designs, analysis reports, and optimization guidelines.
• Mentor and train junior engineers in performance engineering practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Automation, Mechatronics, Vehicle Engineering, Electronics, or Software.
• 7+ years of system performance engineering experience, with at least 3 years focused on Linux‑based embedded systems (automotive IVI, smartphones, or similar).
• Proven ability to lead technical teams and drive performance strategy across a product lifecycle.
