Manufacturing Technology Engineer (MA)

About the role

As a Manufacturing Technology Engineer (MA) at Bosch Group in Nanjing, you will drive the standardisation and optimisation of production processes and machinery for brake‑pad manufacturing. You will work closely with product engineering, global R&D and IT teams to introduce innovative Industry 4.0 and AI solutions that improve productivity, quality and flexibility.

Key responsibilities

• Identify optimisation opportunities in existing processes and machinery and develop standards for efficient, controllable production.
• Map main product and process streams and collaborate with the Product Engineering Department using DFMA principles.
• Research, prototype and roll out new manufacturing solutions, including AI vision systems, 5G connectivity and autonomous mobile robots.
• Lead the implementation of MES and Industry 4.0 initiatives, integrating PLCs, CNCs, robots and other assets with cloud/on‑premise data platforms.
• Deploy paper‑less manufacturing dashboards, digital twins and real‑time monitoring tools.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Industrial Automation, Computer Engineering, Electrical or Electronic Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, automation or lean production.
• Strong English communication skills, both written and spoken.
• Self‑learning ability and good interpersonal skills.
