Manager, Business Development

About the role

As the Manager, Business Development for China, you will lead Snap’s strategy and execution with new acquisition advertisers, driving revenue and performance across a broad base of clients.

Key responsibilities

• Build, lead, and inspire the BD team in China, driving revenue performance and professional growth.
• Develop and execute scalable, data‑driven business strategies for small and mid‑sized advertisers.
• Oversee BD sales operations, client success, and campaign performance with a focus on retention.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with Product, Marketing, Measurement, Creative, and Operations to localize go‑to‑market strategies.
• Drive operational excellence through process design, forecasting, reporting, and tooling optimization.
• Lead regular business reviews with performance analysis, pipeline visibility, and forecasting.
• Translate market trends and customer insights into strategic plans to improve product adoption.
• Define and refine quota setting, account segmentation, and team structure.
• Monitor performance against targets, build predictive models, and address risk areas.
• Foster a culture of accountability, transparency, and knowledge‑sharing.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience managing sales or account teams at scale.
• Strong understanding of digital advertising and performance marketing for small and mid‑sized clients.
• Analytical and strategic thinker with excellent communication and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally in a fast‑paced, matrixed organization.
• Comfortable with ambiguity and data‑informed decision making.
• Commitment to building a high‑performing, customer‑first culture.

Required skills

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years in sales, account management, or marketing, including at least 1 year in a leadership role.
• Experience with BD/SMC‑focused advertising programs.
• Familiarity with China’s digital advertising ecosystem.
• Bilingual in Mandarin and English.
