Maintenance Engineer

About the role

Envalior, a joint venture of DSM Engineering Materials and LANXESS High Performance Materials, is looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join its manufacturing team in Shaoxing. The role ensures stable and reliable operation of production equipment to support manufacturing and on-time delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with safety, health, environment, quality, security and manufacturing requirements, including ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO 14001, RoHS, REACH and GMP systems
• Promote safety and quality awareness, and take part in the Site Safety Committee and Management of Change committee
• Turn repair requests into maintenance plans, troubleshoot problems and keep production lines running
• Maintain and optimise m-FMEA, develop preventive maintenance (PPM) plans and daily, weekly and monthly schedules
• Set and maintain spare parts stock levels and manage spare parts systems
• Write and update maintenance procedures and documentation, run root cause analyses and train operators on equipment care
• Manage special equipment and tooling, internal instrument calibration, laboratory equipment and maintenance contractors
• Take part in audits, process safety roles (HAZOP, MSA) and continuous improvement, and provide emergency maintenance outside normal hours

Required profile

• College degree or above in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• At least 5 years of maintenance experience, covering both mechanical and instrumentation/electrical systems
• Familiarity with engineering plastics and polymer processing
• Basic English communication skills

Required skills

• Knowledge of rotating and static equipment and PPM
• Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
