IT Help Desk Support Engineer

About the role

The IT Help Desk Support Engineer provides first‑line technical assistance to end users, ensuring smooth operation of PCs, peripherals and basic network services. The role combines hands‑on troubleshooting with asset management and occasional project support.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver 60% of daily work on PC support, including software installation, hardware troubleshooting, and maintenance of printers, scanners, fax machines and telephones.
• Manage user accounts in Active Directory and internal applications.
• Collaborate with the network engineer to provide 20% basic network support, such as connectivity checks and simple configuration tasks.
• Handle IT asset management, including SCCM/CS‑EDR deployment and Windows system installations (10%).
• Participate in special projects and provide recommendations to management (5%).
• Maintain accurate departmental records, reports and compliance with company policies, safety, quality and IT governance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher.
• At least 2 years of help‑desk experience, preferably in an environment with 100+ network points.
• Strong problem‑analysis skills and ability to work independently or within a team.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Commitment to ethical standards, professionalism and company values.

Required skills

• Windows operating systems.

• Basic networking concepts.

• Familiarity with service‑desk ticketing tools, data backup and anti‑virus solutions (advantageous).
