Healthcare Consultant – Japanese Market

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Consultant to support our expanding Japanese healthcare market within the Asia Pacific business unit. The role can be performed remotely or from our Beijing or Shanghai offices, offering flexibility while delivering high‑impact consulting projects.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct secondary desk research on market landscape, clinical trials, patents and regulations using pharmaceutical databases.
• Perform primary interviews in Japanese and English with industry experts, KOLs, physicians and pharmaceutical management.
• Summarize interview findings, verify data accuracy and produce detailed call reports.
• Write sections of client reports in English or Japanese, providing insights and actionable recommendations.
• Support proposal development by gathering pre‑study market information.

Required profile

• Native‑level proficiency in Japanese (JLPT N1 or higher) and strong English communication skills.
• 1‑3 years of experience in consulting or market research, preferably within healthcare or pharmaceuticals.
• Bachelor’s degree required; a degree in Pharmacy or Biomedical Sciences is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct primary research and interview key stakeholders.
