Director of Business Development – Events Planning

About the role

The Director of Business Development – Events Planning will shape and drive the growth strategy for Shangri‑La Qiantan’s hotel and event portfolio. Reporting to senior hotel leadership, you will lead a dedicated team to capture new business opportunities and ensure compliance with corporate standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the business development team in designing and planning the overall hotel growth strategy.
• Oversee implementation of the business development plan across all channels.
• Ensure effective execution and compliance with all corporate standards and policies.
• Identify and maximize business opportunities through diverse channels, including corporate, leisure and event markets.

Required profile

• Business‑related education background (preferred).
• Relevant experience with an international luxury hotel (preferred).
• Self‑driven, goal‑oriented and willing to challenge the status quo.
• Upholds professional values, ethics and integrity at all times.
• Excellent presenter and communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
• Fluent written and spoken English, as well as the local language.
