Digital Architect – Lead Digital Ecosystem Design

About the role

The Digital Architect will define and drive the end‑to‑end digital architecture for the Grooming & Beauty (G&B) Digital Ecosystem. Working closely with product, engineering and UX teams across Amsterdam, Drachten and Bangalore, you will shape cutting‑edge solutions for personal care and health applications.

Key responsibilities

• Design and evolve the digital architecture covering cloud platforms, microservices, API management and device integration for the G&B ecosystem.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to conceptualize, prototype and implement innovative solutions.
• Evaluate trade‑offs, mitigate technical risks and ensure alignment with architectural principles.
• Lead technology evaluations, pilot projects and connectivity initiatives involving BLE, IoT and personalized user experiences.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory frameworks, data privacy and security best practices.
• Mentor engineering teams on architectural principles, mobile/web design and technology implementation.
• Support performance optimisation, reliability and continuous improvement of ecosystem components.
• Facilitate cross‑functional communication among global teams to align on strategic goals.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• 12+ years of experience in software architecture, especially for app ecosystems or digital platforms.
• Proven ability to deliver scalable, secure and user‑centric digital solutions.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills within agile, cross‑functional teams.
