Customer Service Representative (Hybrid, Dalian)

About the role

Albemarle is seeking a proactive Customer Service Representative to join its hybrid team in Dalian. You will act as the main liaison between external customers and internal resources, ensuring smooth order fulfillment and high customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Follow Albemarle’s order fulfillment process using SAP for order entry, product availability checks, customer confirmation, processing, and invoicing.
• Coordinate with shipping locations, planners, manufacturing, logistics, sales, and HS&E teams to drive order completion.
• Document customer complaints and feedback in the incident‑reporting database.
• Identify internal failures, investigate root causes, and support implementation of corrective actions.
• Participate in S&OP and Master Production Scheduler meetings and order launch sessions for new products.
• Communicate order status to customers and manage commitments according to sales control plans.
• Assist collections teams with payment issues related to order fulfillment.
• Ensure orders meet monthly closing deadlines and perform any additional duties as required.

Required profile

• College or university degree.
• Previous experience in a similar customer service or order management role.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and excellent communication skills.
• Customer‑focused attitude with the ability to build trust and maintain relationships.
• Good organization and time‑management skills, capable of handling multiple activities simultaneously.
• Commitment to personal development and continuous improvement.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office applications.
• Experience with SAP (advantageous).
