Claim Management Engineer – Powertrain Systems

About the role
The Claim Management Engineer will act as the process owner for all claim‑related activities within the plant, ensuring accurate recording, evaluation and resolution of claims. This role supports the continuous improvement of product quality and the release of purchased components for automotive powertrain projects.
Key responsibilities
- Own the end‑to‑end claims process: record, evaluate and close claim procedures.
- Log defect costs and perform plausibility testing.
- Prepare and lead quality discussions with plant teams.
- Apply lessons learned from past claims to new projects.
- Approve and release purchased parts, including new parts in PEP projects and ECR changes for electric air suspension systems.
- Plan and execute preventive quality and release measures for purchased components.
- Participate actively in the SE team during product development.
- Collaborate closely with the project purchasing manager (PPx).
Required profile
- Strong technical understanding with solid problem‑solving and conflict‑management abilities.
- Experience in quality assurance, production, development or purchasing quality.
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher.
