Power Semiconductor Application Engineer (China)

About the role

Join Bosch as a Power Semiconductor Application Engineer, focusing on silicon‑carbide (SiC) solutions for a range of industrial applications in China. You will work closely with global and local teams to develop and promote cutting‑edge power semiconductor technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Develop SiC‑based discrete devices, modules, and system solutions for solid‑state transformers, AI data centers, energy storage systems, eVTOLs and other industrial applications.
• Provide first‑level technical support to major customers and partners across China.
• Collaborate with Bosch global application engineers, Chinese product managers, development engineers and project managers to create optimized customer solutions.
• Discuss innovative approaches with customer development teams and drive cost‑performance optimisation of Bosch products.
• Translate customer pain points and use cases into system requirements for current and future product development.
• Prepare and deliver customer presentations, product trainings, and support product evaluations.
• Promote SiC products in targeted industrial sectors together with project and product managers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in electronics engineering, physics or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Field Application Engineer or Development Engineer with power semiconductor products.
• Strong orientation toward industrial applications such as power supplies, solid‑state transformers, energy storage, solar and off‑highway systems.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to interface with customers.
• Proven ability to convert customer challenges into concrete SiC‑based solution concepts.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• High self‑motivation for business creation and success.
