Category Sourcing Senior Manager – Mainstream Asia

About the role

The Category Sourcing Senior Manager will lead mainstream logistics sourcing (airfreight, ocean, parcel, rail) for Philips across Greater China, Japan/Korea, ASEAN & Pacific, and India. The role focuses on cost‑effective provider selection and alignment with business objectives for inbound and outbound flows.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and review commodity strategies with global teams and business stakeholders, defining execution plans.
• Lead regional negotiations on spot bids, mini‑tenders and programs, ensuring timely contract publication.
• Support global tenders, facilitate award implementation, and resolve freight capacity or performance escalations.
• Orchestrate regional cost‑productivity programs to achieve predefined savings.
• Ensure compliance with supplier quality, sustainability, EHS and procurement policies using tools such as Ariba, GEP and Oscar.

Required profile

• 10+ years experience in international logistics or supply chain, especially freight forwarding (air, ocean, parcel, rail).
• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or Business Administration.
• Strong negotiation skills; knowledge of game theory is a plus.
• Proven ability to assess logistics cost drivers and drive process improvements (Lean principles).
• Extensive network in the logistics industry and excellent planning, presentation and stakeholder management skills.
