Associate TPM

About the role

Fictiv, a division of MISUMI Americas, is looking for an Associate TPM in Guangzhou. The role uses an engineering background, knowledge of manufacturing processes such as rapid tooling, injection molding, CNC machining, 3D printing, urethane casting and sheet metal fabrication, and project management skills to match builders' requirements with the capabilities of the manufacturing partner. It reports to the head of program management in Feidi.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate with the costing and DFM or sales team to hand over orders and programs from the pre-sales quoting phase.
• Work with the customer program manager to kick off each order and schedule it with the manufacturing partner.
• Manage orders and programs from kickoff to delivery, tracking progress with manufacturing partners so shipments are on time and on quality.
• Understand customer technical and quality requirements, help troubleshoot problems during production and give guidance to the team and partner.
• Act as a TPM after scheduling: answer in-process questions from manufacturers, share production status with builders and mitigate project risks.
• Bridge communication between the Fictiv teams in the US, China, India and Mexico and the manufacturing partners in China.
• Manage changes internally and externally according to procedure, coordinate the Fictiv China team for on-time, on-quality shipment, and support the customer-facing and quality teams with complaints.

Required profile

• College degree or above in mechanical engineering, metal processing, tooling design and manufacture or a related engineering field.
• Fresh graduate or 1-2 years of experience in CNC machining, plastic tooling, OEM or CM hardware manufacturing; project management experience is a plus.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• PMP certification is a plus.

Required skills

• Ability to read 2D/3D drawings and basic tolerance/GD&T symbols.
• Understanding of problem-solving methods such as PDCA.
• Ability to manage delivery schedules under tight deadlines and to handle multiple projects and tasks.
