Account Manager - Clinical Diagnostics

About the role

Roche is hiring an Account Manager in Taiyuan. The role covers area management, including evaluating and developing the market, implementing sales executives and supporting customers. It involves managing the local distributor network and driving in-market sales.

Key responsibilities

• Know your customers and develop the target market, then follow up customers in your territory while optimising the expense budget.
• Manage the distributor network in the area, set annual sales targets for appointed distributors and help them achieve them.
• Speed up channel development with distributors to improve coverage of end users.
• Develop and maintain customers and increase in-market sales.
• Monitor competitors, work with the tendering team and follow up tenders in the area.
• Collect market data and assess sites for potential prospects.
• Share insights and trends regularly with regional managers and work with central and regional marketing teams.
• Coordinate with commercial and other support teams to support sales.
• Carry out other projects assigned by the line manager.
• Comply with Roche's compliance requirements, including Roche Secure, Roche Behaviour in Business, Roche Competition Law, Roche Safety, Security, Health and Environmental Protection.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Clinical Diagnostics or another appropriate science, or a business degree.
• Fluent spoken and written English.

Required skills

• Good command of MS Office applications.
