TPS-300mm Etch Lab Engineer

About the role

Join Applied Materials' Xi'an site as a TPS‑300mm Etch Lab Engineer, supporting hardware performance and new product introductions for semiconductor customers. You will work on critical hardware and software issues, providing on‑site support for early‑learning shipments and beta deployments.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in new product introductions, early‑learning shipments and resolve long‑term customer issues with senior management.
• Provide third‑level escalation for hardware and software stability problems, driving failure analysis and corrective design.
• Support Alpha and Beta sites with installation, calibration, operation and testing of new hardware, software or processes.
• Generate system performance data (MTBF, MTBI, availability) and present findings to customers and internal teams.
• Create and review technical documentation, ECOs and training materials for field implementation.

Required profile

• Demonstrated depth in hardware performance analysis and failure analysis techniques.
• Ability to lead functional teams or projects with moderate complexity.
• Strong communication skills for technical dialogue with customers and internal stakeholders.
