Supply Chain & Quality Management Specialist (SCQM)

About the role

General Procurement (GP) within Airbus is seeking a Supply Chain & Quality Management Specialist (SCQM) for its China operation. Based in Tianjin, you will work closely with buyers and multi‑functional teams to ensure that suppliers meet Airbus quality and compliance standards throughout the product lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and monitor the procurement strategy defined by the Commodity and Multi‑Functional Team for assigned projects.
• Apply state‑of‑the‑art processes, tools and methods (approval, couple compliance, surveillance) to satisfy POA + DOA obligations on supplier‑related services and products.
• Ensure all suppliers in scope are approved, qualified and controlled according to GP Control Supplier procedures (M20193, M20690) and the Production Organisation Manual.
• Represent GP in interactions with Aviation Regulations (EASA) for POA maintenance within the local scope.
• Report to the Head of GP China and coordinate with the Head of Supply Chain & Quality for industrial assets.
• Manage cradle‑to‑grave performance of strategic, risky or critical suppliers, including risk management, supplier selection, performance monitoring (OTD/OQD), development (SQIP) and corrective/improvement missions.

Required profile

• Strong background in supply chain, procurement or quality management, preferably in aerospace or a highly regulated industry.
• Experience working with multi‑functional teams and managing supplier relationships across borders.
• Good understanding of compliance requirements such as POA, DOA and EASA regulations.
• Ability to analyse supplier performance data and drive continuous improvement.
