Cross Plant Manufacturing Engineer

About the role

This position serves as the central on‑site representative for all Airbus manufacturing plants at the Final Assembly Line in Tianjin. You will manage Outstanding Work and Non‑Conformity reworks, ensuring timely and quality delivery of aircraft.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary on‑site liaison between the Final Assembly Line customers and Airbus MCA plants and subcontractors.
• Escalate blocking issues to Head Office Manufacturing Engineering and relevant stakeholders.
• Manage Outstanding Work (OSW) and ensure proper execution of plant work orders.
• Analyse drawings, tooling, competency qualifications and parts ordering to guarantee seamless section handover.
• Provide immediate technical disposition for NC/ALB/QLB occurrences and support critical‑path constraints such as junction, power‑on, hydraulic release and fuel tests.
• Deliver hands‑on technical support on the shop floor and drive investigations to close issues.
• Participate in continuous‑improvement initiatives, SQCDP meetings and internal projects.
• Facilitate knowledge transfer and promote a culture of continuous learning.

Required profile

• Engineering degree in Aeronautics or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of experience in the aviation industry, preferably in multi‑functional team and subcontractor management.

Required skills

• Aircraft specifications and 2D drawing interpretation.
• Proficiency with SAP, ACPnG, @AirNav, CIRCE and IBM tools.
