Stress Engineer

About the role

Airbus Beijing Engineering Centre is seeking a Stress Engineer to support the validation of design solutions across Airbus programmes. You will work closely with the design office and manufacturing plants to ensure structural integrity of metal, composite and hybrid components.

Key responsibilities

• Perform detailed stress analysis of components and mechanisms following Airbus procedures and standards.
• Validate static strength, fatigue, and damage‑tolerance of metal and composite structures at component level.
• Generate strength margins, reserve factors, and comprehensive analysis reports.
• Apply finite‑element and classical methods to predict failure modes and assess dynamic capabilities.
• Support manufacturing by analysing non‑conformities and providing corrective stress assessments.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Aircraft Design or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in static strength, fatigue or damage‑tolerance analysis of aerospace structures.
• Strong technical understanding of aircraft structural analysis and repair processes.
• Proficient English communication skills, both written and spoken.
