Strategic Product Manager - Chemical Sourcing

About the role

Brenntag is looking for a Strategic Product Manager in Shanghai to drive product strategy and growth through supplier management and cross-regional sourcing. The role aims to deliver more than 35% volume growth by 2028.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement product strategies, manage supplier relationships, targets and pricing negotiations
• Build strong connections with key suppliers and lead negotiations on pricing, logistics and conditions
• Work with internal teams to create supply programs and collaborate with global sourcing teams for consistent supply and risk mitigation
• Identify new products and suppliers, gather market data and manage a pipeline of profitable growth projects
• Support sustainability and compliance initiatives and handle special projects assigned by management

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree; a Master's in Chemistry or Business Administration is preferred
• At least 8 years of experience in sourcing and procurement of chemical products; experience in the Taiwanese chemical industry is an advantage
• Fluent English and ability to work in multicultural teams
• Able to travel domestically and internationally when required
