Logistics Specialist - Import/Export

About the role

ABB Marine & Port in Shanghai is looking for a logistics specialist who handles project logistics in line with ABB's regulations on trade and transportation and internal control. The role coordinates with the operations team to deliver projects on time and improves the efficiency of assigned logistics activities.

Key responsibilities

• Handle import and export logistics for the Shanghai BLP, including inbound and outbound shipment follow-up, ensuring goods are picked up and delivered on time.
• Maintain import, inbound, outbound and export data in the TCP system accurately and on time.
• Work with forwarders and customs brokers to execute processes efficiently, obtain transport permits, and prepare transport paperwork, HS codes and import/export documentation.
• Manage documentation and resolve day-to-day operational issues.
• Support the operations team with internal and external trade compliance audits.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in international trade or logistics management.
• 2 to 3 years of logistics experience; experience with international companies is an asset.
• Strong teamwork, communication and problem-solving skills, good English (spoken and written).

Required skills

• Good command of MS Office tools.
• Learning ability and a hard-working, proactive attitude.
