Senior Recruiter (Contractor)

About the role

iQVIA is looking for a Senior Recruiter (contractor) in Shanghai to support the continuous improvement of its staffing function. The role develops and implements staffing programs for an assigned business unit or department, mainly in one geography, and may also support a geographically distributed management team or a pan-regional organization.

Key responsibilities

• Work with management in assigned areas to source, select and hire qualified candidates using cost-effective techniques and in line with company policies.
• Manage applicant flow, ensure availability of qualified candidates and comply with diversity hiring goals.
• Write job postings, review applications, conduct interviews and coordinate job advertising across media, including job fairs and contacts with colleges and universities.
• Work with external recruiters, employment agencies and temporary agencies, and use online recruiting sources.
• Provide guidance to junior staff, coach and counsel business leaders, and train them on recruiting and interviewing.
• Meet with business leaders and executives to set staffing objectives, and help manage recruitment-related legislation and compliance projects.
• Keep up with market trends, coordinate with the compensation team on salary offers, and meet financial targets and business development activities where required.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 3 years of experience in a staffing function as a recruiter, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Extensive knowledge of recruitment legislation.
• Ability to work in a matrix environment, multi-task, prioritize and maintain confidential relationships with coworkers, managers and clients.

Required skills

• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office, HRIS applications and the Taleo Applicant Tracking System.
• Strong attention to detail, verbal and written communication, and presentation skills.
• Good problem-solving, decision-making, coaching and customer service skills.
