Senior Inventory Control Associate

About the role

IQVIA, a global provider of clinical research services, is hiring a Senior Inventory Control Associate in Beijing. Work is carried out in accordance with the ICH E6 Good Clinical Practice guideline. The role covers receiving, storing, issuing and monitoring stock for clinical studies, and includes acting as team lead and coordinator.

Key responsibilities

• Collect deliveries from the loading bay, log them, receive them, store and distribute them as required
• Keep shelves tidy, rotate stock by date, record all movements and issues in the inventory control system and enter data accurately
• Link closely with study project managers and set-up managers so stock follows short-dated procedures and shortages are reported early
• Stock the pre-assembly area, issue internal material requisitions and take part in stock cycle counts
• Liaise with internal customers, suppliers, purchasing and finance on price variances, non-receipts and supplier issues
• Monitor stock levels, order stock in time for lead times, follow up purchase orders and escalate to the supervisor when needed
• Set up and monitor call-off orders, and prepare and log inter-lab shipments for other Q Squared sites
• Review historical inventory analysis to update minimum and re-order levels with the supervisor, and check for non-moving or expired stock and follow discard procedures
• Train new starters according to the department training matrix, and act as team lead and coordinator
• Monitor the returned kits procedure, keep the warehouse tidy and labelled, and deputize for other stock controllers when needed

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2 years of related experience
• Ability to drive forklift trucks and hold the applicable certification
• Good PC skills, including Excel and Word
• Effective leadership, organizational, communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to build good working relationships with colleagues, managers and clients
