Senior Buyer – E‑Mobility & Li‑Ion Batteries

About the role

Bosch Group is seeking a Senior Buyer to drive growth of its e‑mobility and Li‑ion battery portfolio in the domestic Chinese market and overseas. You will lead supplier sourcing, cost negotiations and project delivery to ensure competitive pricing and reliable supply.

Key responsibilities

• Scout, evaluate and analyse potential suppliers and market trends for e‑mobility solutions.
• Conduct RFQs, COQs and negotiate with suppliers to achieve competitive PPC levels.
• Manage supplier‑side projects, bridging Bosch requirements and monitoring deliverables.
• Plan and lead technical and business discussions between Bosch and suppliers.
• Calculate, evaluate and negotiate Li‑ion battery costs.
• Prepare and execute annual price negotiations.
• Develop and implement sourcing strategies aligned with business unit goals.
• Mentor suppliers on commercial, quality and delivery performance.

Required profile

• Bachelor or Master/Diploma in Engineering, Chemistry, Business Administration or Supply Chain Management.
• Minimum 5 years experience in the Li‑ion battery industry or e‑mobility (3 years if engineering background); automotive or multinational experience preferred.
• At least 5 years of project management experience with one successful international project.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications and engineering changes.
• Strong cost‑analysis and finance knowledge, with a data‑driven approach to cost‑saving.
• Proven supplier‑management and mentorship capabilities.
• Fluent in Chinese and English, both spoken and written.
• Pro‑active, self‑leading and comfortable with challenging tasks.
