QA Specialist

About the role

ABB is looking for a QA Specialist in Xiamen, China, reporting to the Quality Manager. The role supports the deployment of the quality strategy for a local organizational unit, covering quality culture, systems, tools and competent teams, so that customer expectations are met and exceeded while ensuring sustainable operations. The work model is onsite.

Key responsibilities

• Support quality-related communication in your area of responsibility and help identify and address quality risks and opportunities
• Use quality data analytics to find risks, failures and non-conformances, and resolve customer cases through root cause analysis and preventive/corrective actions
• Maintain TQMS documents (ISO9001, ISO11012, GB/T27922, nuclear power QA etc.), and support the setup, review and improvement of procedures, work instructions and forms
• Review, approve and release documents in the TQMS system tool, and conduct or coordinate internal, customer and third-party audits, including audit checklists, training of internal auditors and preparation for external audits
• Record, report, assign and follow up NCRs from audits; coordinate the Quality Check Tour and product/process audits
• Support project bidding, pre-qualification and certifications by preparing quality plans, ITPs and other documents, and coordinate management reviews
• Carry out other QA activities according to the QA plan and tasks assigned by the QA managers

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree
• Above 5 years of experience in quality assurance, quality management or related functions
• Fluent spoken and written English
• Team player, ready to take responsibility, with a willingness to learn and share

Required skills

• Excellent knowledge of quality management and ISO9001
• Quality engineer certificate or equivalent knowledge and skills
• Good auditing skills and communication skills, with systematic thinking and planning
• 6 Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt preferred
