Purchasing Quality Engineer – Mechanical Components

About the role

As a Purchasing Quality Engineer at Bosch Group in Suzhou, you will ensure preventive quality for new projects and engineering change requests. You will work closely with the RB project team and suppliers to guarantee that technical and quality requirements are met before series production.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and release preventive quality activities for new projects and ECRs.
• Lead technical discussion meetings with project teams and suppliers to clarify quality requirements.
• Assess and confirm supplier technical capability prior to awarding contracts.
• Review PPAP documentation such as P‑FMEA and control plans.
• Execute process releases at suppliers and sign off PPAP releases for purchased parts.
• Resolve component‑related quality issues before start‑of‑production.
• Define and monitor safe‑launch activities, incorporating lessons learned from previous projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of experience with mechanical components (plastic, connector, die‑casting, stamping, assembly) in sourcing or supplier quality management; automotive experience is a plus.
• Strong understanding of quality management and preventive quality processes.
• Proven project‑management abilities, including planning, coordination, and communication.
• Ability to interpret drawings and specifications and convey them to suppliers.
• Professional English proficiency and willingness to travel when required.
