Senior Fluent Simulation Designer

About the role

In this role you will lead mechanical and fluid simulation activities to support cooling‑unit and pump‑system design, enable root‑cause identification of field issues, and improve product reliability through simulation‑driven engineering decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Define simulation scope and methodology for cooling units and pump systems (CFD, thermal, flow, structural).
• Build and maintain simulation models to support product design and architecture decisions.
• Perform simulation‑based trade‑off analysis of performance, reliability and cost.
• Lead root‑cause analysis for field issues, correlating simulation results with test and failure data.
• Establish and improve simulation methodology, modeling standards and correlation with test results.
• Support system‑level verification and validation strategy by predicting risk scenarios.
• Collaborate with design, generator and system teams to align simulation assumptions and support supplier technical discussions.

Required profile

• Master’s or PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Thermal Engineering, Fluid Mechanics or related field.
• Strong fundamentals in fluid dynamics, heat transfer and mechanical behavior.
• Hands‑on experience with CFD simulation of pumps, flow or cooling systems.
• Ability to correlate simulation results with test and field data and to drive design decisions.
