Project Manager – New Product Development

About the role

Dyson is seeking a Project Manager to join its New Product Development (NPD) team. You will be responsible for delivering projects on time, communicating status to senior leadership, and challenging assumptions when necessary. The role works across design, research, procurement, manufacturing, commercial and marketing functions in a fast‑moving, ambiguous environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and integrate cross‑functional teams from concept through SOP and launch.
• Coordinate project status, resolve conflicts and lead solutions across the organisation.
• Challenge concepts to achieve optimal design within time, specification and cost constraints while maintaining risk, actions and issues trackers.
• Allocate resources against time plans and collaborate with Finance on overall project cost management.
• Take a hands‑on approach to understand and support engineering problem resolution.
• Work with development teams to ensure new technologies maximise product performance.
• Manage stakeholder expectations from early stage to launch.
• Ensure adherence to Dyson development processes, good engineering practice and information governance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (First or Second‑Class Upper preferred).
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
• Proficiency in Mandarin and willingness to travel frequently to China.
• Experience in a dynamic, innovative environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to influence senior executives.
• Assertive and comfortable delivering difficult news or analysis.
