Project Manager – Clinical Trials

About the role

The Project Manager will lead clinical trial projects at the country or regional level, ensuring delivery of objectives, timelines, and budgets while maintaining high quality and regulatory compliance. This role serves as the primary liaison between the client, internal teams, and external vendors.

Key responsibilities

• Develop a clear, measurable project management plan with client representatives and internal stakeholders.
• Manage all functional deliverables and vendor activities in line with contractual timelines, client specifications, quality standards, and GCP/ICH guidelines.
• Establish project metrics, reporting schedules, and provide at least monthly updates to clients.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, tracking critical success factors.
• Oversee project budget, monitor expenditures, and implement cost‑containment strategies.
• Coordinate resource allocation, ensuring appropriate staffing within budget constraints.
• Handle scope changes, contract negotiations, and approval of grants, expense reports, and financial records.
• Develop and deliver training for the project team on required processes and standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing clinical trial projects at country or regional level.
• Strong knowledge of Standard Operating Procedures, Good Clinical Practice (GCP), and International Conference on Harmonisation (ICH) guidelines.
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients, internal teams, and service providers.
• Demonstrated capability to manage budgets, timelines, and resource planning.
• Experience in risk identification, mitigation, and reporting.
