Associate Consultant – Asia Healthcare (Shanghai)

About the role

The Associate Consultant will join L.E.K.’s Asia Healthcare practice, working on consulting projects across Shanghai, Tokyo and Singapore. The role involves leading a work stream, developing hypotheses, structuring approaches and mentoring junior team members while delivering actionable insights for clients in the healthcare and life‑sciences sector.

Key responsibilities

• Perform rigorous analysis to develop practical recommendations for clients.
• Coach and mentor junior team members throughout the project lifecycle.
• Conduct in‑depth research to understand each client’s industry, competitors and customers.
• Collaborate with the team to translate research and analysis into insightful, high‑impact deliverables.
• Provide upward feedback on case management and leadership to senior consultants and partners.

Required profile

• Minimum of 2 years of proven experience in consulting or a relevant industry.
• Demonstrated experience leading and coaching team members.
• University graduate with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.
• Strong critical‑thinking and problem‑solving abilities with a curiosity for new knowledge.
• Excellent time‑management skills and a high degree of integrity and team spirit.
• Fluent in English and Chinese (bilingual).
