Product Quality Engineer – Hardware

About the role

As a Product Quality Engineer at Meta you will ensure that hardware products manufactured at contract‑manufacturing sites meet defined cosmetic, functional and reliability requirements. You will own the quality control system from incoming material through to shipping, identify risks early in product development and drive corrective actions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the quality control system setup and qualification in the FATP factory, covering incoming material, in‑process (SMT and FATP), outgoing inspection, Out‑of‑Box audit and RCCA processes.
• Conduct risk assessments, close‑loop follow‑up and corrective actions (DFMEA, FMEA) across cross‑functional teams.
• Define and monitor quality KPIs, statistical methods, hypothesis testing, process capability analysis and sampling plans.
• Develop product quality plans, inspection procedures and support NPI/launch stages with design and reliability input.
• Prepare data‑driven reports and recommendations for continuous improvement in manufacturing and product quality.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Engineering or a related field.
• At least 5 years of hands‑on experience in consumer‑electronics manufacturing covering inbound to shipping processes.
• Proven ability to work with cross‑functional teams and influence decisions at all organizational levels.
• Willingness to travel up to 50 % of the time.
