PCB Designer – Schematic & Layout

About the role

We’re hiring a PCB designer in Shenzhen to own schematic capture and layout for the collection hardware we build. The devices must be simple, manufacturable, and high‑bandwidth – a wearable camera that works reliably in real‑world jobs.

Key responsibilities

• Own schematic capture and layout for collection hardware (hats, mounts, camera boards) from first spin through factory revisions.
• Design high‑speed buses (MIPI camera, storage, USB/wireless, power, I2C/SPI/UART) with impedance control and signal‑integrity where needed.
• Bring up boards, debug with firmware and mechanical teams, and close the loop into DFM for Shenzhen manufacturing.
• Create and maintain PCBA documentation: schematics, BOMs, assembly notes, and test plans for bring‑up and factory.
• Collaborate with firmware engineers to ensure boot, capture, storage and upload operate as a unified system.

Required profile

• Shipped real PCBs through schematic, layout, bring‑up and manufacturing (not just academic projects).
• Comfortable with Altium, KiCad, Cadence or equivalent and experienced working with factories.
• Focus on yield, cost and reliability of devices used on workers’ heads for weeks.

Required skills

• Altium, KiCad, Cadence (PCB design tools).
• Signal‑integrity basics, power distribution and design‑for‑manufacturability for Shenzhen‑scale production.
