Senior Supply Planner – Solar Tracker Components

About the role

The Senior Supply Planner will be based in Shanghai and report to the Materials Planning Manager, APAC Planning. This role combines tactical expertise and strategic thinking to support a demand‑driven supply chain for solar tracker components, including castings, electromechanical sub‑systems, stampings, steel tubes, and foundations.

Key responsibilities

• Improve vendor and delivery manager experience by ensuring clear communication of delivery schedules and material readiness status.
• Perform supplier allocations based on customer schedules, supply capacities, agreements, and inventory levels.
• Analyze item‑level forecast versus capacity to identify supply risks and run ramp‑up/ramp‑down scenarios for new‑product‑introduction parts.
• Provide early alerts to delivery managers on supplier gaps and work with vendors on recovery plans to avoid penalties.
• Serve as the single point of contact for vendors, coordinating with procurement, sourcing, NPI, and logistics.
• Host weekly supplier meetings and participate in quarterly business reviews, offering feedback for mutual success.
• Support testing and adoption of Anaplan to accelerate planning system transformation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• 8–10 years of experience in supply planning, preferably within manufacturing.
• Experience with planning methodologies such as S&OP, demand planning, and strategic planning.
• Strong understanding of supply‑chain principles and best practices.
• Expert-level Microsoft Excel skills, including Power Query, Power Pivot, and Solver.

• Proficiency with Anaplan planning platform.
