Manufacturing Operator 2

About the role

WD is looking for a Manufacturing Operator 2 to support high‑volume production of storage systems for AI‑driven data centers. The role involves preparing materials, operating equipment, monitoring quality and ensuring daily output targets are met.

Key responsibilities

• Complete required certifications during training and continuously practice operating a production station.
• Prepare raw materials, consumables, chemicals and special tooling for timely use in production.
• Operate equipment according to MPI specifications, handle routine alarms and measure quality parameters.
• Monitor statistical process control (SPC), film reports and address quality anomalies or deviations.
• Track work‑in‑process (WIP) flow, adjust production plans, switch equipment and change priorities as needed.
• Meet daily output requirements while following company manuals, safety and quality procedures.
• Report abnormal situations to technical operators or team leaders and keep the work area clean.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic English proficiency (≈300 words) to operate fully English‑language production tools.
• Knowledge of clean‑room behavior, basic contamination control and safety/quality awareness.
• Familiarity with chemical handling procedures where applicable.
• Logical thinking and clear communication of problems.
• Ownership, responsibility and ability to work diligently in a team environment.

Required skills

• Operation of English‑language production interfaces.
• Clean‑room protocols and contamination control.
• Computer data‑entry and retrieval skills for production and quality records.
• Basic understanding and operation of ECS, SPC and conveyor systems.
• Handling of production chemicals and related safety measures.
