Plant Finance Controller – Tianjin

About the role

We are seeking a senior Plant Finance Controller to lead the finance function of our manufacturing plant in Tianjin, China. Reporting to the Global CFO, you will be responsible for the full spectrum of finance activities and act as a key business partner to both local and global stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Lead accounting, financial reporting, tax, treasury, audit and compliance functions.
• Partner with the Global CFO and local leadership to drive performance and strategic decisions.
• Oversee monthly close, statutory reporting and maintain robust financial controls.
• Manage manufacturing finance, cost accounting, inventory valuation and working capital.
• Analyse manufacturing variances and identify profitability improvement opportunities.
• Drive process improvements, ERP optimisation and finance transformation initiatives.
• Lead, mentor and develop the local finance team.

Required profile

• Strong background in plant finance, cost accounting and inventory management.
• Experience managing audit, tax, treasury and compliance functions.
• Proven track record of strengthening controls and improving finance processes.
• Leadership and stakeholder management experience.
• Fluent Mandarin and strong English communication skills.
• CPA, ACCA, CMA, CICPA or equivalent qualification preferred.
• Prior experience in a multinational manufacturing environment is highly desirable.
