ODM Software Manager

About the role

Fairphone is looking for an experienced ODM Software Manager with deep knowledge of the Android ecosystem. You will own the end‑to‑end software design flow, translating business needs into technical solutions and ensuring that projects meet both functional and technical constraints.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, design and guide the product team on software requirements and feasibility.
• Produce and review product design documents and specifications.
• Conduct hands‑on technical audits, code reviews and troubleshoot issues in AOSP/HAL layers.
• Lead feature development with ODM partners, overseeing implementation and maintenance throughout the software lifecycle.
• Manage release roadmaps, technical scope and critical issue lifecycles using tools such as Jira and Gitlab.
• Support cross‑functional teams by validating bug reports, reproducing problems, analysing impact and documenting solutions.
