Maintenance Engineer – Assembly Line Equipment

About the role

The Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for the upkeep, troubleshooting and continuous improvement of assembly line equipment in a large manufacturing environment. The role combines hands‑on maintenance with engineering analysis to ensure equipment reliability and support new equipment installations.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, design, develop, document and test/debug a variety of instruments, equipment, systems and software used on the production line.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on standard and non‑standard assembly line machinery, diagnosing faults in motors, reducers, lead screws, cylinders, guide rails and other automation components.
• Program and troubleshoot AB, HuiChuan and Siemens PLCs, quickly identifying root causes from electrical schematics.
• Lead installation verification, release processes for new equipment and apply FMEA methodology to assess risk.
• Manage TPM activities and spare‑parts inventory to minimise downtime.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in electronics, communication, electrical engineering, automation, mechatronics or instrumentation.
• Minimum five years of maintenance experience on assembly line equipment in a large manufacturing enterprise, preferably in the medical sector.
• Fluent English communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in AB, HuiChuan and Siemens PLC programming and troubleshooting.
• Strong knowledge of automation components such as motors, reducers, lead screws, cylinders and guide rails.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematic diagrams.
• Experience with FMEA and TPM methodologies.
• Competence in installation verification, spare‑parts management and equipment reliability analysis.
