Lead Engineer – Electronic Systems (ESE)

About the role

You will lead the design and development of electronic modules for Philips grooming, beauty, and medical devices, ensuring regulatory compliance and high reliability. The position requires close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and ownership of the full hardware development lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Design electronic modules and components for consumer and medical products, focusing on reliability, efficiency, and user safety.
• Translate technical requirements into product concepts, detailed schematics, and PCB layouts.
• Lead DFMEA activities and follow the V‑model development methodology.
• Maintain complete and compliant documentation, including Design History File (DHF), Risk Management File, traceability matrices, and other regulated artifacts.
• Manage product requirements, contribute to hardware and subsystem planning, and support effort estimation and resource planning.
• Ensure adherence to medical quality standards and regulatory expectations (FDA 21 CFR 820, ISO 14971).
• Perform CFD analysis, FEA (ANSYS) or equivalent analytical assessments as needed.
• Communicate technical boundaries and architectural implications to influence the product roadmap.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics Hardware Engineering.
• 5–10 years of experience in electronics product development, preferably with medical device projects.
• Hands‑on experience managing Design History Files and supporting design control activities.
• Familiarity with risk management (ISO 14971) and medical device regulatory processes (FDA, CFDA/NMPA).
• Proven ability to lead technical decisions and work effectively in international, multidisciplinary teams.
