IT Specialist – 2nd Level Support (Global Logistics)

About the role

The IT Specialist will provide 2nd‑level support for DSV’s global air and sea logistics application services. Working within a shift‑based model, you will ensure smooth operation, rapid incident resolution, and continuous improvement of the applications that power our worldwide transport network.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain application support processes and ensure all requests are handled according to agreed procedures.
• Prioritise, diagnose and resolve incidents using the ITSM tool, documenting each step.
• Investigate root causes of incidents and implement corrective actions.
• Facilitate recovery and communicate status to stakeholders after incident resolution.
• Close incidents and service requests following established guidelines.
• Monitor and resolve problems in systems, processes and services, and support preventative measures.
• Perform agreed application maintenance tasks and provide “Go Live” support for new solutions.
• Provide shift‑based coverage for the AMER time zone, including weekends.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of relevant IT experience, preferably in logistics or supply‑chain applications.
• Strong written and spoken English.
• Willingness to learn, high quality standards and ability to handle complex issues.
• Customer‑service orientation with excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Experience with Global Logistics IT application support and ITIL processes (incident and problem management).
• Ability to work under pressure and within shift/ weekend schedules.
• Knowledge of air or sea freight and TMS/WMS systems is an advantage.
