IE Manager – Industrial Engineering Manager

About the role

Lead projects to eliminate waste, establish industrial engineering systems, and drive lean improvements to support factory growth and meet operational targets.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and continuously improve factory IE systems, standard cycle times, routing, and SOPs.
• Design factory layout, production line and capacity planning to meet annual targets and new product introductions.
• Lead lean improvement initiatives using IE tools to reduce waste, increase line balance and output.
• Control manpower cost, efficiency and working hour cost through analysis and optimization models.
• Participate in new product introduction, process layout, standard time setting and mass‑production ramp‑up.
• Manage IE team recruitment, training, performance and foster a lean improvement culture.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with production, quality, process, equipment, purchasing and PMC to resolve bottlenecks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Industrial Engineering or Business (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of relevant experience, including 3+ years in a supervisory role.
• Fluent English for work communication.
• Strong financial, budgeting and analytical skills.
• Proven leadership, team‑building and strategic abilities.

Required skills

• Lean improvement tools: Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, ECRS.
• Industrial engineering methods: bottleneck analysis, motion analysis, line balancing.
• Capacity planning and production line layout optimization.
• SOP development, TPM, poka‑yoke implementation.
• Cost reduction and efficiency analysis.
