About the role
Join Applied Materials as a Global Installation Engineer focused on display CVD/PVD equipment. You will install, maintain, and upgrade sophisticated semiconductor and display tools for customers across China.
Key responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and upgrade customer equipment.
- Apply diagnostic techniques and collaborate with senior field service engineers to resolve technical issues.
- Train and mentor junior field service engineers.
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on electrical, vacuum, mechanical, plasma, hydraulic, and gas systems.
- Coordinate directly with customers and fulfill additional duties as assigned.
Required profile
- Associate degree, military technical training, field service experience, or trade certification.
- 4‑7 years of experience in the semiconductor or equipment support industry.
- Advanced mechanical aptitude with pneumatics, hydraulics, electronics, vacuum, and thermodynamics.
- Strong knowledge of hand tools and digital multimeters.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain a passport for travel.
