GL Accountant – Record to Report Support

About the role

Join Sulzer’s global finance team as a GL Accountant, supporting the Record to Report (RTR) Center of Excellence. You will handle ad‑hoc accounting tasks, complex bookings and maintain the chart of accounts while ensuring compliance with IFRS and internal regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide ad‑hoc support to the RTR team on accounting issues and complex bookings.
• Execute financial booking activities in line with IFRS and Sulzer policies.
• Manage clearing, perform reconciliations and adjustments to keep financial records accurate.
• Leverage ERP expertise (SAP, Microsoft Dynamics 365, iScala) to streamline processes.
• Assist the Global Process Owner with system implementations.
• Maintain and update the chart of accounts and hierarchies reflecting current business structure.
• Collaborate with local finance teams, shared services and BPO providers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or business administration.
• 3–4 years of general‑ledger and financial reporting experience.
• Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA or CMA preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Microsoft Dynamics 365, iScala).
• Advanced MS Office skills, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience with IFRS accounting standards.
