Finance Business Partner – Manufacturing

About the role

Join Hitachi Energy as a Finance Business Partner supporting a global high‑voltage manufacturing operation. You will ensure accurate financial reporting, drive budgeting processes, and provide analytical insights to help the business achieve its performance targets.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor daily SAP posting deviations and verify accounting, cost‑center, and business‑segment allocations.
• Oversee month‑end closing activities, including period‑end CO settlement and preparation of adjustment entries.
• Prepare and analyse monthly financial results, flag abnormal variances, and propose corrective actions.
• Coordinate budgeting, full‑cost modeling, and rolling forecast reporting, entering data into Hyperion.
• Maintain cost‑center monitoring, generate cost reports, and support project cost analysis and price development.
• Act as CAR owner to implement internal controls and post general journal entries.
• Assist with board‑meeting package preparation and consolidate early‑warning reports.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of finance or costing experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Strong analytical mindset, quick learning ability, and capacity to work under pressure.
• Excellent written and spoken English.

Required skills

• Proficiency with SAP ERP.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Strong PowerPoint presentation abilities.
• Experience using Hyperion for budgeting/forecasting.
