Finance Manager

About the role

Yara International is seeking a Finance Manager to lead the accounting functions for its China operations. The role combines responsibility for financial reporting, tax compliance and audit management while acting as a key finance business partner to senior management.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the full accounting function including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets and intercompany accounting.
• Own month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end close processes, ensuring deadlines are met with accuracy.
• Review and approve journal entries, balance‑sheet reconciliations and financial‑statement schedules.
• Ensure financial reporting complies with IFRS and local GAAP requirements.
• Manage statutory reporting and coordinate with external auditors for annual and interim audits.
• Oversee tax compliance activities, including corporate income tax, VAT and withholding tax.
• Develop, implement and monitor internal accounting policies, procedures and controls.
• Act as FP&A leader to provide accurate actuals for management reporting and variance analysis.
• Coach and develop the accounting team, setting performance objectives and fostering a high‑performance culture.
• Drive continuous improvement in accounting processes, systems and automation initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• 7–10 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a managerial role.
• Strong technical knowledge of IFRS, local GAAP and statutory reporting requirements.
• Proven experience managing audit processes with Big 4 or major accounting firms.
• Professional qualification such as CPA, ACCA or CA.
• Fluent English proficiency.
• Demonstrated ability to lead finance teams in a multi‑entity or regional environment.

• Hyperion Financial Management (HFM).
• Advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Power BI or similar business‑intelligence reporting tools.
• ERP system configuration (SUN) and chart‑of‑accounts management.
• Tax compliance (corporate income tax, VAT, withholding tax).
• Treasury cash‑flow management and hedging accounting (IFRS 9).
